2. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, profile photo, company/job details you provide, and authentication data (including when you sign in with Google or similar providers).
• Host and listing information: studio details, photos, pricing, availability, policies, and location you publish as a host.
• Booking and transaction data: booking dates, attendees, messages related to bookings, payment status, and invoices. Payment card details are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Location data: approximate or precise location when you search the map, filter nearby studios, or grant location permission in the app.
• Device and usage data: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, browser type, pages viewed, crash logs, and similar diagnostics needed to operate and improve the Services.
• Communications: support requests, emails, and in-app messages you send to us or to other users in connection with bookings.

3. How we use information

• Create and manage accounts, listings, and bookings.
• Process payments and send booking confirmations and updates.
• Enable hosts and guests to communicate about reservations and studio use.
• Provide map search, recommendations, and safety/trust features (such as profile verification prompts).
• Improve, secure, and troubleshoot the Services; prevent fraud and abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
• Send service-related notices. Marketing communications are sent only where permitted, and you may opt out.

4. How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run the Services:

• Other users: hosts see guest booking details needed to fulfill a reservation; guests see listing and host profile information you publish.
• Service providers: hosting, databases, email delivery, analytics, maps, authentication (e.g. Google), and payment processors acting on our instructions.
• Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of Michu Space, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Third-party services

The Services may integrate Google Sign-In, Google Maps, and payment providers. Those services process data under their own privacy policies. When you use Google to sign in, Google may share your name, email, and profile image with us based on your Google account settings.

6. Data retention

We retain account, booking, and transaction records for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal/accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account; some records may be retained where we have a lawful obligation or legitimate need (for example, completed bookings and invoices).

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information (including encrypted transport via HTTPS and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your choices and rights

• Update profile information in your account settings.
• Control location permission in your device settings for the mobile app.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by emailing info@michuspace.et.
• Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws. We will respond to valid requests consistent with those laws.

9. Children's privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. International transfers

We operate primarily for users in Ethiopia and may process data on servers or with providers in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated policy.
